Amana 80 SSE Air Command Gas Furnace :: No spark, no flame, no heat...fan only

Amana 80 SSE Air Command Gas Furnace :: No spark, no flame, no heat...fan only Video Clips. Duration : 1.98 Mins.

Fan turns on briefly, no spark or flame, then shuts off in a few seconds. Already pulled out the igniter and gave it a light brushing with an emery cloth (didn't touch it with our fingers) Getting 8 quick flashes of the LED in the service window. According to the manual, that means one of 4 things: -Pressure switch hose blocked, pinched, or misconnected. -Blocked flue and/or inlet air pipe, blocked drain system, or weak induced draft blower. -Incorrect pressure switch set point or malfunctioning switch contacts. -Loose or misconnected wiring.

  1. A furnace filter that remains in the system so long that it begins to negatively impact air flow can be dangerous. The hotter the heat exchanger gets the more it expands when heated and contracts as it cools during the off cycle.
